Random Blogging

This has been my first time selling anything on eBay, and so far it looks like things are going well. I've already gotten more than I had hoped for on one item and I think (and pray) that last minute bids will come in too. The bad part is I'm addicted to checking my auction stats. I tend to be an e-mail/internet junkie to begin with so this is not helping.

Onto another obsessive habit of mine, cloth diapers. I ordered a soaker pattern from Little Turtle Knits and have started on my second soaker. The first didn't turn out well at all, and the yarn I used didn't get much softer after lanolizing it. Thanks to my obsessing over learning more and more about cloth diapers I got an amazing deal on the cutest bag ever on eBay. Sadly I can't link to the picture anymore but I will put one up as soon as it arrives. Other diaper projects on deck are to try and make some prefolds out of some old t-shirts.

Our drawers are overflowing and something needs to be done. I don't know if it's spring cleaning, nesting, or the fact that it looks like we will be moving before this kid is born that is making me want to clean everything!! Things have gotten a bit trashy around our place since getting my toe worked on, but I'm slowly getting back into picking things up. I actually vacuumed the living room floor, stairs, and some other things in the living room. Now I just need the motivation to tackle our room. It's a disaster. It has been since we moved in and things need to be organized for whenever we move.

Onto the joy of moving...This will be our 4th time moving since arriving in Tennessee 2.5 years ago. How crazy is that?!?!? Thankfully this time it will be into a house. We found out this week that we were approved for a low-income home loan through the USDA (US Department of Agriculture). Thanks to the tip-off to this loan we can get a much better house than with a traditional loan. We look at our first three tomorrow. I'm really praying for God to show us the right house. I would love to find a great deal on a foreclosure or tax sale so our monthly payments are really low. I'm so glad we will be in our own place rather than renting, but the timing is not so great. This will be the second time moving while pregnant and that's not fun. I think that's why I want to downsize and get rid of our junk. There are some things that I just don't want to move again and say "oh we'll go though this later" because later never happens. It's time to get real. We're not to the extreme of needing the people from Clean Sweep to help us, but I would love to have that guy come and organize our lives, well at least our stuff.

Today at work I got to watch Facing the Giants. The building I work in is a staffing agency with amazing Christian owners. She showed this movie to motivate her staff and invited the office where I work to join them. Afterwards we all prayed together and were a crying mess. It was wonderful! The movie was pretty good too. It was made by a church down in Georgia and I highly recommend it. It's a good family film, which are so hard to find these days.

The other day I had a moment of victory with Sweet Pea...she ate Sweet Potatoes!! It was a proud moment. Sadly she's not feeling well or getting teeth and eating 3 foods again. At least she's eating...right?

Speaking of eating, I think I am eating enough cereal to feed a small nation. I think I'm up to around 3-4 bowls a day. I don't know why cereal is so good when I'm pregnant, but I can't get enough of the stuff. I'm so glad that we have WIC and we don't have to buy most of it. I'm also thankful to my grandparents who never let me eat sugar cereal when I was little. I can't stand the stuff so at least I'm eating semi-healthy food all day long. Cereal is better than ice cream 3-4 times a day, not that there's anything wrong with that either. Pregnancy cravings are an amazing phenomenon. I don't understand the strong power behind them at all. All I know is that when you want a cheeseburger you NEED a cheeseburger and you can't function until you consume it. There are times I try to resist, but there's no use anymore. I'll try to gain some willpower once this little guy is born.

Was that random enough? I'm sure there's more but I need grapefruit, and to start cleaning out some drawers. Wish me luck!

Hey, when you guys figure out when and where you are moving, let me and Phillip know. We'll be more than happy to help you move....again. Between you guys and me moving all the time, we keep Royce in a lot of work with her truck! Congrats on the homeloan!

I ate a ton of cereal with all of my pregnancies. I don't know why either.

Can't wait to see your soakers and more handmade diapers!
